About this talk

This pre-recorded tour, with the guide's live narrative, takes you through the events of the annual Krakow Jewish Culture Festival. One of the oldest and largest events in the world, presenting both traditional and modern Jewish culture, the festival is held in Kazimierz, Krakow's former Jewish quarter for the 35th time this year.

The festival brings together artists of Jewish culture from all over the world – music bands, soloists, choirs, jazz musicians, and dance teachers. Its events educate people about Jewish culture, history, and faith, which flourished in Poland before the Holocaust and familiarize them with modern Jewish culture that flourishes in the US and Israel. The program includes Jewish art exhibitions, lectures, and visits to synagogues and cemeteries. Watch the tour to get a feel for this unique festival that celebrates Jewish culture.

After the virtual visit to the Krakow Jewish Culture Festival, Olga will share about her tailor-made in-person Jewish Heritage tours of Krakow, Berlin, Nuremberg and Regensburg, and soon further exciting destinations will be added to their travel list in Poland and Germany.

About Olga

An Odesa local, Olga Bokhonovskaya has spent much of her life living abroad. She earned her MBA in the US and previously worked in international marketing in California, London, and Moscow. In 2011, she transitioned to the tourism industry and founded Odessa Walks, a tour agency in her hometown of Odesa. During the pandemic, she began creating live-stream virtual programs in 2020, sharing her hometown's beauty and rich history with people around the world.

In September 2022, Olga moved to Berlin and Kraków because of the war in Ukraine. She launched a new tour agency, Your Jewish Heritage Guide, which specializes in Jewish heritage as well as cultural and historical in-person and virtual tours in Berlin, Kraków, and throughout Poland.
